| This is prolly an "off the wall" question, but where can I sell a bottle of wine?
I have a vintage bottle of wine, worth about $500 and I don't want it or need it. I'll never drink it b/c it's red wine. Where can I sell it?? I've checked a few pawn shops, but they thought I was nuts. LOL |

| I wish I could. But here's eBay's policy: Attention Sellers:
Please go back and choose another category
Generally, the sale of wine on eBay is prohibited. However, we are allowing a small list of licensed and vetted sellers to participate in the sale of wine within a controlled environment on the site. Please click here to read more about the requirements that must be met when selling or buying wine on eBay and how to apply to become a licensed seller.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. |

| Have you asked a local merchant? In the UK it's called an "off-license"; I don't know what it's called there, but they specialise in selling wine and spirits. If there's one with a good stock of wines, you may find he wants to buy it from you to resell. You wouldn't get the full value, because he would want to take a cut for himself, but they would give you a better deal than a pawn shop I woudl think.
Otherwise, the little Facebook buy/sell groups are popping up everywhere, perhaps there's one for your locality where you could sell it? Do you know the types of groups I mean? There is one for Gibraltar, and someone was selling a bottle of Cristal last week. Always worth a try... |

| I would say that the above are the best suggestions but I am not sure how much luck you will have. I personally would not buy wine and any form of liquid from a random person. You never know what you are going to get.
Good Luck! |

| Sara you have a point. Once someone came round to my apartment (when I was living in England still) and he had a few bottles with him on a tray. He said he was conducting market research on a new brand of vodka, and please could I try it? I said no, and then he asked if I would try the wine instead.
Like I'm going to take a random drink off a guy knocking on my door. It could have been anything. |

It says there is a website called.... http://www.winebid.com/
It's the world's premier internet auction site for fine and rare wines.
In the first link it looks like there are links to take you to a site to find out how much it is worth. |

| Thanks girls! I wouldn.t but wine like that either,or taste it, but I know in order to sell it at vintage price, it has to still have the oiginal metal seal on it & still intact, which this bottle does. When I'm not on my phone, I'll post a photo & info about it. |
